How Screening Works

What happens on the day of your checkup

A preventive checkup is short but the preparation matters. Here is the sequence for most packages so nothing needs to be repeated.

  • Fasting. Most panels that include blood sugar or lipids need 8–10 hours of fasting. Water is allowed.
  • Sampling. Blood and urine samples are collected first, usually in the morning.
  • Vitals & ECG. Height, weight, BMI, blood pressure and — where included — an ECG.
  • Consultation. A physician reviews your results and explains what, if anything, needs follow-up.
